Kaspa Mining Profitability Calculator

Enter your miner specs (or pick a preset), set your electricity rate, and see real daily KAS earnings, costs, and payback time based on August 2026 network conditions.

Miner Setup

Assumptions: 2.31 KAS block reward, 10 blocks per second (about 2.0M KAS emitted daily), 100% pool efficiency, no pool fees. Your actual earnings depend on pool luck and fees. Network hashrate and KAS price move constantly; refresh them for a current estimate.

How the Kaspa Mining Profit Calculator Works

Kaspa mines with the kHeavyHash algorithm, which is ASIC-friendly but remains more decentralized than Bitcoin's SHA-256 ecosystem. Your earnings are a straight share of daily emission: every day the network creates about 2.0 million KAS (2.31 KAS per block at 10 blocks per second). Your miner's share equals your hashrate divided by the total network hashrate, minus pool fees.

The calculator applies that share to the KAS price, then subtracts your electricity bill: power draw in watts divided by 1000, multiplied by 24 hours, multiplied by your kWh rate. What remains is your net daily profit. If net profit is positive, the payback period is the miner price divided by daily net profit.

Why Most Home Kaspa Miners Lose Money in 2026

In August 2026 the network runs at roughly 300 to 330 PH/s while KAS trades near $0.026. Total daily miner revenue across the whole network is only about $50,000. A 20 TH/s KS5 earns roughly 1.2% of that share: around $3 per day in KAS, while drawing 3,000 W costs $7 to $9 per day at residential rates. The gap between revenue and power cost is why every consumer ASIC in the preset list shows a loss at $0.12/kWh.

Mining becomes viable only when you have very cheap electricity (under $0.05/kWh), access to efficient hardware, or a long-term view that KAS price will rise enough to make accumulated coins worth more than the power spent. Always treat a mining rig as buying KAS at a discount with a power bill attached, not as a guaranteed income stream.
